Science Based Targets organization for a sustainable future!

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a global body that helps companies set science-based targets to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. These targets are aligned with the latest climate science and are designed to help companies achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, which aims to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.

The SBTi was founded in 2015 by CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute, and the World Wildlife Fund. It is a collaboration between these organizations and a growing number of businesses, investors, and governments.

The SBTi provides companies with a framework and resources to set science-based targets. These targets are based on the latest climate science and are designed to help companies reduce their emissions in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement. To date, over 1,000 companies have set science-based targets through the SBTi.
