PJ Library is a free program that sends Jewish children's books to families every month. The program is open to all Jewish children ages 0-8, regardless of their family's income or affiliation. PJ Library is a project of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, a private foundation dedicated to supporting Jewish life and culture.

PJ Library was founded in 2005 by Harold Grinspoon and his wife, Arlene. The program is named after their son, PJ, who died in a car accident in 2001. PJ was a voracious reader, and his parents wanted to find a way to share their love of reading with other Jewish children.

PJ Library has grown rapidly since its inception. In 2005, the program served 1,000 families. Today, PJ Library sends books to more than 250,000 families in North America and around the world.
