The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, advocacy organization that works to improve the lives of Hispanic Americans. NCLR was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in Washington, D.C. NCLR advocates for policies that promote economic opportunity, educational advancement, health equity, and civil rights for Hispanic Americans. NCLR also provides a variety of programs and services to help Hispanic Americans succeed in the United States.


NCLR is the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States. NCLR has over 300 affiliated community-based organizations in 41 states and the District of Columbia. NCLR's mission is to improve the lives of Hispanic Americans by promoting economic opportunity, educational advancement, health equity, and civil rights. NCLR's vision is a just and equitable society where all Hispanic Americans have the opportunity to succeed.


NCLR's work is guided by its core values of:

* Health Equity: NCLR advocates for policies that promote health equity for Hispanic Americans. NCLR also provides programs and services to help Hispanic Americans access affordable health care and live healthy lives.
* Civil Rights: NCLR advocates for policies that protect the civil rights of Hispanic Americans. NCLR also provides programs and services to help Hispanic Americans fight discrimination.
