About Magnum Photos

Magnum Photos is a photographic cooperative founded in 1947 by four photographers: Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger, and David Seymour. The co-op was formed to give photographers more control over their work and to ensure that their images were disseminated widely. Magnum has since become one of the world's most prestigious photographic agencies, representing some of the most acclaimed photographers in the world.

Magnum's photographers have documented some of the most important events of the 20th and 21st centuries, including the Spanish Civil War, World War II, the Vietnam War, the Cold War, and the fall of the Berlin Wall. Their work has been published in magazines, newspapers, and books around the world, and has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world.
