Headquartered in Fredericksburg, Texas, Big Country Electric Cooperative is committed to providing safe, reliable, and affordable electric service to its members and the communities it serves. Big Country offers a variety of services to its members, including residential, commercial, and industrial electric service, broadband high-speed internet service, and solar energy solutions.
The cooperative has constructed and operates approximately 3,200 miles of distribution lines and 300 miles of transmission lines. Big Country Electric Cooperative also owns and operates two electric generating plants, the H. B. Zachry Plant and the Gibbons Creek Plant.
Big Country is a member of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) and the Texas Electric Cooperatives (TEC).
