The Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO) is a global network of researchers, policy makers, and grassroots organizations that promotes the rights and livelihoods of women in the informal economy. WIEGO was founded in 1997 and is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

WIEGO's mission is to improve the lives of women in the informal economy by:
