TBF Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization known for using performing and media arts to engage youth and strengthen community. The organization was founded in 1987 by Tom and Barbara Friedman, both of whom were heavily involved in the arts. They established TBF Inc with the mission of using the arts to create positive social change. TBF has become one of the largest providers of arts education in the United States, serving over 100,000 students annually. TBF's programs are designed to help young people develop their artistic skills, build their confidence, and learn about important social issues. TBF's programs focus on four main areas:

• Arts Education: TBF offers a variety of arts education programs, including after-school programs, summer camps, and in-school workshops. These programs provide students with the opportunity to learn about different art forms, develop their skills, and create their own works of art.



• Youth Development: TBF's youth development programs help young people develop their leadership skills, build their self-esteem, and learn about important social issues. These programs include mentoring programs, leadership training programs, and community service projects.



• Community Engagement: TBF's community engagement programs bring the arts to underserved communities. These programs include public art projects, community festivals, and arts-based workshops. They strive to make the arts accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or income level.

TBF Inc has been recognized for its work with numerous awards, including the National Medal of Arts from the National Endowment for the Arts and the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities.
