Space Telescope Science Institute

The Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) is a non-profit organization that is responsible for the operation of the Hubble Space Telescope. STScI is also home to the Mikulski Archive for Space Telescopes (MAST), which is a repository for astronomical data from Hubble and other space telescopes. STScI was founded in 1981 and is located in Baltimore, Maryland. The institute is operated under a contract with NASA.
