SEforALL (Sustainable Energy for All) is a global initiative launched in 2011 by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Its mission is to achieve universal access to sustainable energy by 2030, in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7).

SEforALL is a multi-stakeholder partnership that brings together governments, the private sector, civil society organizations, and international organizations. It works to mobilize resources, share knowledge, and advocate for policies that will accelerate the transition to sustainable energy.

SEforALL's work is focused on three main areas:

* **Access to energy:** SEforALL works to ensure that everyone has access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy services. This includes providing access to electricity, clean cooking fuels, and energy-efficient technologies.
* **Energy efficiency:** SEforALL promotes energy efficiency as a key strategy for reducing energy consumption and emissions. It works to raise awareness of energy efficiency, develop and implement energy efficiency policies, and provide technical assistance to governments and businesses.
* **Renewable energy:** SEforALL supports the transition to renewable energy sources, such as solar, wind, and geothermal energy. It works to promote investment in renewable energy, develop renewable energy policies, and provide technical assistance to governments and businesses.

SEforALL has made significant progress towards its goal of achieving universal access to sustainable energy by 2030. As of 2022, SEforALL has helped to provide access to electricity to over 1 billion people, clean cooking fuels to over 500 million people, and energy-efficient technologies to over 2 billion people. SEforALL has also helped to mobilize over $100 billion in investment in sustainable energy.

SEforALL is a key player in the global effort to achieve universal access to sustainable energy. Its work is essential to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and creating a more sustainable future for all.
