Oseh Shalom is a Reform Jewish congregation located in Laurel, Maryland. Welcoming, inclusive, and egalitarian, Oseh Shalom is a sacred community where all are loved. Their mission is to provide a welcoming and inclusive Jewish community where all are loved and respected, and where they can learn, grow, and connect with Judaism and each other. They offer a variety of programs and services for people of all ages, including religious services, educational programs, and social action initiatives.


Oseh Shalom was founded in 1968 by a group of families who were looking for a more progressive and inclusive Jewish community. The congregation has grown steadily over the years, and now has over 300 member families. Oseh Shalom is affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism, the largest Jewish denomination in North America.


The congregation is led by Rabbi Susan Warshaw, who has been with Oseh Shalom since 2001. Rabbi Warshaw is a graduate of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York City. She is a passionate advocate for social justice and interfaith cooperation.


Oseh Shalom is a vibrant and active congregation. They offer a wide variety of programs and services for people of all ages, including religious services, educational programs, and social action initiatives.
