Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) is a consortium of 120 colleges and universities and a contractor of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. ORAU provides scientific and technical support to the DOE and other federal agencies, as well as educational and training programs for students and professionals.

ORAU was founded in 1946 as the Oak Ridge Institute of Nuclear Studies (ORINS) to support the Manhattan Project. In 1965, ORINS was renamed ORAU to reflect its expanded mission. Today, ORAU is a major contractor for the DOE, providing a wide range of scientific and technical services, including:

* Research and development in nuclear science and technology
