The OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) is a development finance institution established in 1976 by the member states of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). Its mission is to "promote sustainable socio-economic development in developing countries, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, energy, education, and agriculture." OFID provides concessional loans, grants, and technical assistance to developing countries around the world. As of 2021, OFID had provided over $21 billion in financing to over 134 countries.

OFID is headquartered in Vienna, Austria, and has regional offices in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Dhaka, Bangladesh; and Jakarta, Indonesia. The organization is governed by a Ministerial Council, which is composed of the finance ministers of the OPEC member states. OFID's activities are implemented by a Secretariat, which is headed by a Director-General.

OFID's main areas of focus are:

* **Infrastructure:** OFID provides financing for a wide range of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, airports, ports, and energy facilities.
* **Energy:** OFID provides financing for projects that promote access to affordable and reliable energy, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, and oil and gas exploration and production.
* **Education:** OFID provides financing for projects that improve access to quality education, including schools, universities, and vocational training centers.
* **Agriculture:** OFID provides financing for projects that promote sustainable agricultural development, including irrigation, livestock, and fisheries.

OFID also provides financing for other areas of development, such as health, water and sanitation, and microfinance.
