**New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS)** is a public pension fund that provides retirement and other benefits to public school teachers and other employees in New York State. NYSTRS is the largest public pension fund in New York State and one of the largest in the United States. The fund was created in 1921 and is headquartered in Albany, New York.
