The National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education (NAFEO) is a membership association of over 120 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs) in the United States. NAFEO was founded in 1968 to advocate for the interests of HBCUs and PBIs, and to promote equal access to higher education for all students.

NAFEO's mission is to "promote the growth and sustainability of HBCUs and PBIs, and to advocate for equal access to higher education for all students." The association does this by providing a variety of services to its member institutions, including:

* Advocacy: NAFEO represents the interests of HBCUs and PBIs before Congress, the White House, and other government agencies. The association also works with other organizations to promote policies that support HBCUs and PBIs.
