**Mountaineering Scotland** is the national representative body for mountaineering in Scotland. We are a membership organisation with over 30,000 members, and we work to promote, develop and protect the sport of mountaineering in Scotland. Mountaineering is a challenging and rewarding activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities. It involves climbing hills and mountains, and can be done for recreation, competition, or simply to enjoy the outdoors. Mountaineering Scotland is committed to making mountaineering accessible and enjoyable for everyone, and we offer a range of services and activities to help people get involved in the sport.

We offer a range of training courses, from beginner to advanced level, and we also provide a range of resources to help people stay safe when hillwalking and mountaineering. We also work with schools and other organisations to introduce young people to mountaineering, and we run a number of events throughout the year to promote the sport.

Mountaineering Scotland is a member of the International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (UIAA), and we work with other organisations around the world to promote and develop mountaineering. We are also a member of the Scottish Outdoor Access Group, and we work with other organisations to ensure that people have access to the outdoors for recreation and enjoyment.
