Back entry wiska box | on ElectriciansForums

WEBSouth Wales. Aug 13, 2022. #2. I usually just open the drain hole at the bottom of a 308 and then cut a 20mm hole in the back of the box apply a liberal amount of sealant on the back face and then screw it to the wall. If you're really concerned, run a bead of sealer half way up each side and across the top.

SWA termination into WISKA boxes | on ElectriciansForums

WEBMar 22, 2020 — As mentioned, the 308 earthing plate will fit the long side of a 208 box. I've recently done this for a series of outdoor lights where space was limited. SWA in/out on the long side, and a nylon gland on one end. Reply to SWA termination into wiska boxes in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net.

Whats your view on this wiska box | on ElectriciansForums

WEBEssex. Sep 17, 2020. #1. Brought the sheath of SWA inside the wiska and used 60a connector block to maintain continuity of armour using stuffing glands. Really effective for eliminating leaks, only used it for garden lighting. Imo superior to swa gland for water ingress (if you cant fix the box to an upright surface) But cant help thinking its

Wiska boxes (below ground) | on ElectriciansForums

WEBFeb 15, 2020 — wiska boxes are fine underground with the gel, and always openable a few years later due to the plastic mechanism. I tend to use metal boxes and fill with gel, bit more substantial if the spade hits them. wiska boxes underground are a hack, be professional and use proprietary enclosures. In echoed steps I walk across an empty dream.

    SWA/wiska box/piranha nuts | on ElectriciansForums

WEBJun 26, 2020 — 5,636. Location. Glasgow. Jun 26, 2020. #1. Some assistance please. simple job really, 3-core 4mm SWA to be glanded into a box with a 20mm S gland, and piranha nut. I'm not familiar with the wiska brand, but as it gets a good name I thought I'd try a couple. Was looking at the 206, but frankly I get easily confused so maybe one of you …

Terminate SWA in Wiska or straight to Garage CU

WEBLocation. Gliese 581C. Apr 9, 2019. #3. You could run the swa into the garage, bury it in a chase in the wall, terminate the swa into a metal back box leaving longish ends to take them direct into the consumer unit fitted over that back box. Reply to Des 56.

20s gland into wiska reducer problem | on ElectriciansForums

WEBJun 7, 2020 — Firstly the kit I'm using. wiska 607 box. 25mm knockouts. 4mm 3 core swa. 20s gland. wiska 25-20mm reducer. Secondly the issue. The 20s gland is to short to show thread through the reducer, this means I can't fit either a banjo and locknut or an earthing nut. The wiska earthing plate, ec607, is 25mm so wouldn't maintain the ip with a 20s gland.

Wiska box with earth gland and conduit? | on ElectriciansForums

WEBSep 29, 2018 — Threaded galv conduit will screw straight in to the earth gland without need of a coupler. If you do want to use a coupler, then you would need either a long brass bush or a nipple coupler and female coupler. With plastic, a male adapter should have a thread long enough to reach the earth gland, you may have to enlarge the hole in the whiska box.
