Jun 12, 2020 · I agree with Lord Ashley. If a 600lb slob isn’t good, the UFC can just not hire him. But if some 300lbs freak emerges, as it is, there isn’t even a platform for them, not matter how good they are. I don’t see why everyone has to fit into 265. They would be competing against fellow HWs, not OW.

May 10, 2022 · So I don't know why 265 Ibs is agreed upon by commissions and most orgs but it doesn't bring down the quality of HW's in terms of having the best in the sport. I mean the answer to your question OP might be as simple as thinking there needs to be a weight limit like all the other divisions for HW to be a legitimate weight class.
