The ugly truth of Indeed. An HR viewpoint : r/recruitinghell - Reddit
Nov 28, 2021 · indeed is just a glorified parasite of a website and most of the jobs you find on there are false doors. indeed works by scraping hundreds or thousands of other websites for real job postings, and recreates the information as a new job in its own format. An overwhelming majority of jobs posted here are clones.
Reddit.comHas anyone actually landed a job on Indeed : r/jobs - Reddit
Last January I accepted a job that was posted on indeed. One of the worst positions I have ever held. My SO also found a position in December and love love loves it, but he searched for well over a year. Positions on indeed are like the old school way of job searches with a newspaper. Weed out the trash and apply at what appeals.
Reddit.comAre Indeed assessments actually worth anything? : r/jobs - Reddit
Not tryna be rude, but those are just indeed's versions of an F or a D and you're better off not including it. I've definitely used an applicant's entire page of Completed and Familiar assessments as a reason not to call them. It just looks really bad. It tells me either the skills aren't there, or the person rushed through it and didn't care.

Oct 28, 2021 · Came here to find a link since their own UI is garbage. All day on indeed baby—really not as much as one might hope but I’ve consistently gotten jobs via indeed. My numbers are like 10 apps per 1 interview and 40 apps per 1 job acquired. Best way for ever and always to get a job tho is to have a personal reference or connection.
Reddit.comBeware of Realistic Indeed Scams : r/jobs - Reddit
What I tend to do before I apply to something is look up the company online and see if they are listed on LinkedIn, indeed, and Glassdoor as well as having a seemingly legit company website. Then I check the careers page on the company website and apply through there if they have an option to apply directly at the company instead of through indeed.

This was the first time I applied to a job on indeed, and I had no clue that they send you notifications when the employer views your app. The job was announced as open on 8/2. I applied yesterday (8/11) around 5 pm, and the job apps don't close until 8/24.

Jun 11, 2020 · Not sure about indeed specifically. I would imagine it depends on what the employer wants. But likely they are going to filter based on experience, and possibly some keywords. Best thing to do is put your resume through some algorithms and see how much experience the algorithms think you have.
Reddit.comWhat are the best places to search for jobs except LinkedIn, …
12 months ago I had the same experience with indeed. 6 months ago I changed up my process a bit. I refreshed about 3 times a day (morning noon and evening) and only applied to jobs that had JUST been posted (I think the setting on indeed is "since last visit"). I averaged 1.5 recruiter calls a day and ended up with 4 offers in a month.
