Kec.coop is a not-for-profit electric cooperative owned, operated, and controlled by the members it serves. The Cooperative was organized in 1940 and chartered in 1946 to bring electricity to the rural residents of a 1,000-square mile area in east-central Kentucky. Today, the Cooperative proudly provides a full range of electric utility services, including power generation, transmission, and distribution to over 23,000 members in Scott, Harrison, Bourbon, Nicholas, Fleming, Robertson, Mason, and Bracken counties.
