The Council on Ocean Affairs, Aquaculture and the Blue Economy (COA) is an intergovernmental organization that promotes cooperation and coordination among its member states in the areas of ocean affairs, aquaculture, and the blue economy. COA was established in 2014 by the governments of the Pacific Alliance countries (Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru) and has since expanded to include 10 member states. COA's mission is to promote sustainable development of the ocean and coastal areas, and to foster economic growth and social progress in the region. COA's main activities include:
