The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that works to strengthen democratic institutions and promote economic opportunity around the world. Founded in 1983, CIPE is a grantee of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and works in more than 100 countries.

CIPE's mission is to strengthen democratic institutions and promote economic opportunity around the world. The organization works to achieve this mission by providing technical assistance, training, and research to support the development of democratic institutions, the rule of law, and a vibrant private sector.

CIPE's work is focused on four key areas:

• Promoting economic opportunity: CIPE works to promote economic opportunity by supporting the development of job training programs, the provision of microfinance services, and the promotion of trade and investment.
