CBCGB, an acronym for Country Bluegrass Blues and Gospel, was a New York City music club that from its opening in 1973 to its closing in 2006 played an important role in the development of American punk rock and new wave music. Originally intended as a country and western music venue, the club soon became a haven for punk rock bands and hosted early performances by now-famous acts such as the Ramones, Television, Blondie, the Patti Smith Group, and Talking Heads. CBCGB was also a venue for other musical genres, including rockabilly, reggae, and new wave.

The club was founded by Hilly Kristal, a former music journalist, and by the early 1980s, it had become a popular stop on the New York City punk rock circuit. Bands and musicians such as the Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, the Cramps, X, and the Replacements all played at the club, and it became a place where fans could see new and upcoming punk and new wave bands.

CBCGB closed in 2006 due to rising rent costs, but it remains an iconic venue in the history of American punk and new wave music and is considered one of the most important venues in the development of these genres. The club's legacy lives on in the form of a foundation that supports music education and in the form of a museum that celebrates the club's history.
