The Air Force Museum Foundation, Inc., established in 1953, is a private, not-for-profit organization, recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) organization. The Foundation was chartered by the United States Congress in 1964 to assist the USAF in establishing and developing the USAF Museum at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. Our primary method of providing support is by raising millions of dollars in private funding. Our donors are individuals, families, veterans, corporations, and other organizations that want to ensure that the Air Force Museum receives the best possible support.

Founded in 1953, the Air Force Museum Foundation (AFMF) is dedicated to supporting the United States Air Force Museum (USAF Museum) in educating and inspiring the public about the history of aviation and the U.S. Air Force. The AFMF has raised more than $150 million to support the USAF Museum, which is the largest and most comprehensive aviation museum in the world.

The USAF Museum is home to more than 350 aircraft and 3,000 artifacts, including the Wright Flyer, the first successful airplane. The museum also has a world-renowned library and archives, with more than 100,000 books, documents, and photographs.

The AFMF supports the USAF Museum in a variety of ways, including:

* Raising funds for new exhibits and programs
* Acquiring and preserving aircraft and artifacts
* Supporting educational programs and outreach activities
* Providing scholarships to students interested in aviation and aerospace

The AFMF is a vital partner to the USAF Museum, and its support has helped to make the museum one of the most popular attractions in the Dayton area.
