Trauma-informed Oregon is a statewide initiative to create a trauma-informed system of care in Oregon. This means that all Oregonians, regardless of their age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability, have access to the services and supports they need to heal from trauma and thrive.

Trauma-informed Oregon is based on the understanding that trauma is a common experience and that it can have a profound impact on a person's physical, mental, and emotional health. Trauma-informed care is a way of providing services that takes into account the impact of trauma and that is designed to create a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for people who have experienced trauma.

Trauma-informed Oregon is funded by a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
