Live Well San Diego is a non-profit organization in San Diego, California. The organization's mission is to improve the health and well-being of San Diego County residents through policy, environmental, and systems change. Live Well San Diego was founded in 2010 as a collaboration between the County of San Diego and the San Diego Foundation. The organization is led by a 21-member board of directors, which includes representatives from the public health, business, and community sectors.


Live Well San Diego's work is focused on four key areas:

• Healthy Eating and Active Living: Live Well San Diego works to promote healthy eating and active living through a variety of programs and initiatives. These include the Live Well San Diego Farmers Market Coalition, which supports farmers markets throughout the county, and the Live Well San Diego Walk/Bike Coalition, which advocates for safe and accessible walking and biking trails.




• Tobacco Prevention and Control: Live Well San Diego works to reduce tobacco use in San Diego County. The organization's tobacco prevention and control programs include the San Diego Smokefree Coalition, which provides resources and support to help people quit smoking, and the Live Well San Diego Youth Tobacco Prevention Program, which educates youth about the dangers of tobacco use.




• Chronic Disease Prevention and Management: Live Well San Diego works to prevent and manage chronic diseases, such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, and diabetes. The organization's chronic disease prevention and management programs include the Live Well San Diego Diabetes Coalition, which provides resources and support to people with diabetes, and the Live Well San Diego Heart and Stroke Coalition, which promotes heart and stroke health.
