Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a United States Department of Energy national laboratory operated by Triad National Security, LLC, for the United States Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration. It is located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, about twenty-five miles (40 km) northwest of Santa Fe.
