Historic Iris Preservation Society is a California 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to preserve and promote the historic Iris garden located in the City of El Monte, California. The garden is home to over 1,200 varieties of Iris, including many rare and endangered species. Historic Iris Preservation Society is dedicated to the preservation of this unique and beautiful garden for future generations. We are grateful to our members and donors for their support.

Historic Iris Preservation Society was formed in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were concerned about the future of the Iris garden. The garden had been neglected for many years, and many of the Iris plants were in danger of being lost. The volunteers worked hard to restore the garden and to promote its importance to the community. Today, Historic Iris Preservation Society is a thriving organization with over 200 members.

Historic Iris Preservation Society offers a variety of programs and events throughout the year, including guided tours of the garden, educational programs, and plant sales. We also publish a quarterly newsletter that keeps our members informed about the latest news and events.
